‘There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.’- Robert Louis Stevenson

By studying abroad you broaden your horizon. You live in another country with a different history and culture than your own, you study at a foreign University and follow lectures with foreign students. You will be taken out of your known world, you will need to take initiative and communicate with different types of people. It will help you to get in touch with new customs, habits and ideas. You learn to see thatreality can be seen from different angles, leading to a new and broader perspective.

The ATP-foundation sees a period of foreign studies as a valuable addition to a study at home. The Foundation encourages students to spend some time abroad by making available several scholarship during each year.
The ATP-foundation focuses on students studying at the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication (ESHCC), whichis part of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
